Dale Jr.

Atlanta Motor Speedway

I am not sure how much worldwide awareness there is of NASCAR, but here in Atlanta (and most of the U.S.) it is quite popular. And there is no one more popular in the sport than Dale Earnhardt, Jr. This photo was taken from the pits on Saturday while the Winston drivers were practicing. Dale Jr. pulled up and parked right in front of me. Yes, he is in the car but would never wave no matter how much everyone was yelling.

Well, it was a race day for the Busch cars. This was about 1 1/2 hours before the Busch race began and the Winston cars were just lining up for practice.

NASCAR is certainly known well in the UK and through Europe I guess where it is shown on satellite tv. You can tell it's not race day by the amount of people in the stands. The pic itself is nice and sharp and focuses the attention where it should be - on the car.

Very LOUD picture, which is very American. You were certainly in the right place, could never get something so good from the public stands.
