Disappointment - where's my food *

Hindmarsh Valley, South Australia

This is our favorite cow Kellie. Cows have emotions too, but it is difficult to catch them in photos. This is particularly emotional for us - we have had to sell most of our cows since we are moving to a smaller property. At least she has gone to a good home.

Shot just after dawn, fill in flash (as you can see from the eyes). Cropped, brightness and contrast adjustments, unsharp mask

Canon PowerShot S45
1/60s f/3.5 at 7.1mm with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Perhaps a bit close and better getting the cow entirely?.. but funny shot anyway. I have a similar image of a donkey, but there´s not Exhibition Gallery in this challenge! (?). Strange thing that the cow is not looking at you :D, so that´s the emotion !!

Excellent shot Neil! I rather like the over-exposed sky, it highlights the expression on the cows face even more.

I adore the expression of the cow. It's the first time that I see a cow showing her emotion. This shot make me laugh a lot. Poor animal, probably could'n understand why all this attention to him with the camera and why the flash :p
Definitely one of my favorites from this selection. Great shot.

Very expressive cow you've got there, and a touching story too. I like the perspective, but it's tough to shoot such a dark subject against sky, and the background suffers as a result.
