In My Room

I've been experimenting with light and mood recently. In fact I was inspired by Andreas kellas picture *Feel the Burn*
in the Love and Hate gallery because he'd been using the cheapest lights available. It got me thinking, so I bought a selection
of lightbulbs and have been playing with them in my studio/room.

If you've seen the 1st CSLR challenge you'll notice a similarity between this shot and *a different light*, because the studio is pretty much
as I left it before my holiday. Little time to do much else today so here is the result. In fact I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

Exposure time is 1 second at ISO400 and F5.6. Bulb is a 40W pearl.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

A £1.50 is more like $2.25 - looks like ISO was going all out!

Close. It's black sheeting from my local market. £1.50 per metre off the roll. Thats about $1 I think. I bought lots :-)

Very nice mood indeed. I suppose that the backdrop is $2 paper as well :-)

I really like this because it makes me wonder. What is he waiting for? What is he thinking? The first thing that comes to mind is an actor waiting to audition on a stage. I also enjoy the lack of obvious Photoshop work. All round it's a very good photo.

Like it Iso...not least because it gives a demo of a lens I was thinking of getting if I get a DSLR one day !!!! Nice one. Paul D.
