Love - Hate

Medina, Minnesota

These are berries that grow in the woods at home.
I love them for their beautiful color.
I "hate" them - as they spell the end of summer in Minnesota. Thet are the first berries to chage color.
BTW, if someone knows what they are, please let me know. They are wild, and love the shade.

I like this image. One of the reasons I like it most is that (other than the nice colour contrast between the live and dead things) it is one of the few that combines love and hate together. I think the biggest challenge for me (I've had lots of ideas, but been unable to capture it yet) is to combine both love and hate in the same image. When I first saw this I thought the love and hate were represented by the fact that you love the berries but hate the fact that the other stuff is now dead...which I guess is what you said.
