In the center of a mature lotus flower there is a yellow seed pod with small studs.
When the flower completes its days-long lifespan, this yellow seed pod becomes huge
and the small studs turn into seeds the size of marbles.
When the pod becomes too heavy for the flower's stem, it tips over,
spilling the seeds into the pond to begin the next generation.
