California Adventure

Anaheim, California USA

Curves? Circles? Spheres? What luck, I think I've covered all the bases! ;-)

This is a dusk shot of Paradise Pier at Disney's California Adventure theme park. At the entrance, there are a handful of Disney employees equipped with Canon G2s and 420EX Speedlites on Stroboframe brackets to ask if you want your picture taken! Anyway, I didn't bring my tripod with me so I rested my G2 on a bridge support and propped the camera in place with my wrist strap and used the timer function to trip the shutter. In P mode at ISO 50, the camera chose 1/3.3 seconds at f2. I tried a few other shutter speeds in Tv mode but ended up liking this one the best. In retrospect, I think this would have been a great opportunity to try out the camera's Vivid mode but my kids were already clamoring for me to hurry up and I forgot...oh well. In Photoshop 7, I applied only auto levels and some unsharp mask. You can see a larger version at http://www.pbase.com/image/14813485/original.
