7th Place - Cruise Ship - by tvsometime

The building where I work faces the Hudson River. Tonight a cruise ship was passing out of the harbor.

Ah very nice! Really great job with the framing. I too really like that you included the lady in the shot. This was the sister ship of the ship we where on. It actually is bigger than it looks here, even with the small boat for scale. Better watch out for the new giant Carnival cruise that's only going to be in NY port 3 times this Nov. One of the most impressive ships I've seen is the Queen Mary 2 liner that docks in Brooklyn. Here's a handy schedule ;)http://cruisingfromnewyork.com/?page_id=263 . They all seem to dock out between 4-6. The list though doesn't seem to be all that accurate when displaying more than a month's schedule in advance. It's missing a few ships.

The timing to get that little dingy in there was perfect to give the massice ship it's due sense of scale. The onlooker puts it all together. -Doug

Lovely framing & pleasantt light, for instance in the woman's hair. I don't care too much for the big yellow lettering though. -Maarten.
