Back Yard

It's very easy to say
Say Euphoria and you'll feel fine from the start
You can close your eyes
And see the world with your heart
Do what you wish, be what you are
What a victorious thrill

Thanks Doug and YB (yes I dunno about the topicality except with a stretch of the imagination - think back on your 60s experiences if you know what I mean). It was a lucky shot being up early in the morning - a rare event. Jano, there was nothing more here than early morning light reflecting off the wet leaves and very close macro. -tv

This is a brilliant photograph - by far the best image posted for the Challenge. I just have one problem, I don't see the connection with the title.

I knew you had this type of photography in your arsenol Tommy but I don't recall ever seeing it before. Brilliant, just brilliant. -Doug

Very nice ! For the thumbprint, it looked green alien til I opened it up - way cool with the composition.

This is very different. I like the slight sparkle and glare. Not sure how you did it... but it is great. jano

You only wait on Penny hand & foot Tommy! You should be waiting on her hand knee & foot mate.
ctfchallenge23-Jul-2009 16:29
Thanks Techo - the lens is not new but I rarely drag it out. Outdoor macro work is so tedious especially for an old man working close to the ground. Rod I guess I'll keep the title now that the word is out that I take a shot then try to find lyrics to fit - seems dishonest somehow. Thanks Penny you don't have to agree with everything I do just because I wait on you hand and foot on account of your sore knee. Get well quick. -tv

Freudian slip, I meant morning glow:-)

This title works great too Tommy. I put an asterisk after my title after seeing your rip off title:-) so you can still use morning glory if you like.

A really neat point of view. Those bright highlighted dots add another dimension to the shot. I really like this macro work :)
Is the sigma a new lens in your arsenal?

and I forgot to say - it looks like a chemistry experiment. Penny Street

Oh I like these lyrics and title SO much better because now the abstractness fits like a glove. Penny Street

Thanks Debi and Penny. Rod, this is shot almost straight down obviously with the early morning sun at a 90 deg. angle. The droplets on the bottom were clinging to the side of this Wild Iris leaf. I changed the title on account of you had already used it and the missus pointed out my indiscretion as missuses are bound to do. -tv

This defies gravity a, it messes wiv me mind. The highlights on the leaf look magical along with the shadows. This is a girly picy done in such a manly way. Excellent work Tommy.

I like the green on green. Nice shadows and light, too. Penny Street
