Thanks all, for commenting. I found it compelling too, this odd position they took. A moment prior, she was facing him, her body 90 degrees to him. It must have been a thoughtful lull in the conversation - a moment of contemplation. Perhaps the chair is irrelevant to the story, but I think compositionally, it helps the eye movement as one studies the image; one bounces off the chair to be sent back into the image. ~ Lonnit
