Thanks Penny & Tommy:-) I just had a look & I took a total of seven picys Penny, three were in this portrait orientation & three in landscape, the first picy was just for an exposure check. I did crop this in tighter than what I got in the camera, this is about what I saw in the viewfinder before zooming out. This is a Buddha Tommy that Mereana made when she was into pottery it's about 2' 6" tall. I think she secretly modelled the torso on me:-)

What a tour-de-force in how to animate a hunk of stone. Back yard? So what is it? I thought in first glance a religious icon of some sort but in your back yard? Must be something else like a celtic god of beer. -tv

Funny. Penny Street
Tell me how many of these you took before you got a great one. I want to know.

Thanks Carole, Dougy & Maarten. For once I was glad to see a hot spot on the subject:-)

Great use of the zoom! Comes out real neat, funny & well lit!

Once again you've created art with your camera and not your computer. Well done. -Doug

This is hysterical Rod - the funniest use of zoom I've ever seen! Plus there's a very deeeeep meaning here too. :-) CJ

Thanks Debi & Kiki dears:-) I wonder if these zooms look smoother than yours Kiki is because I used the 200mm zoom. I didn't have to zoom it very much for this effect whereas with the 24-70 you may have to zoom a lot more................Not forgetting all the chakra I have:-)

"Powerful chakra, man..". Great usage of a zoom effect, and the palm-like fronds behind him compliment the effect. Wonder why my own zooming gets banded.. can't see any of that in your shots. I can't possibly be that shaky.. perhaps there's varying resistance in the 24-70 zoom.. it feels smooth but the images gossip otherwise.

:-) Mereana carried the tripod out into the backyard for me so I had to use it a:-)

Actually this is looking pretty good for no tripod ;-)
