It looks like you have added some contrast Brent. Much more impact now. -tv

Thanks for the feedback guys :-) I think getting there when the sun was low and mostly blocked by another building where you can see but streaming in over the street behind me helped greatly with this contrasty situation.
You know Rod I got up this morning and before I even checked for comments was wondering if I had processed it without enough contrast. I had a look at what you did with it in pending (thanks) and thought something backed off just a notch from that would suit my taste. So rather than rework it from RAW I just backed up some steps since I still had it open in Photoshop. I did a curves "S" adjustment, slight exposure offset, slight increase in contrast, and a little more shadow burning. I like it better now (before my morning coffee anyway)- so thanks for speaking up as I'm not sure I would have reworked it otherwise :-)

The perspective and colors are just super!
I will agree with Rod (for once, oh here we go...) that the picy, as a whole, could be a little less bright but I wouldn't want to venture a guess as to how to fix it. Looking at Rod's version in pending, I like how the burning brought out the blacks on the floor but I'm not sure the building got better... Penny Street

Oh, and I wouldn't really say that the MarkII handles contrast much better than my Xti. In very contrasty light I still try to remember to use the lowest ISO possible to get the best color. The resulting colors are better though, for sure. Brent, I'm surprised that you used a + exposure bias (but of course you could fix that in photoshop).

I had a play & put it in Pending Brent but seeing them together I'm thinking it might only need a burn in set on shadows as the one I did with pulling down the curves, adding contrast & a burn in might have gone too far.

I never give any credit to a camera as I've seen rubbish picys exposure wise from all the cameras up to & including the 1DsM3 so the credit must go to Brent a. This seems quite a bold picy from you Brent with the support cutting the picy in half & reinforcing all the triangles. Hard to say but I have the feeling I would have say pulled the curves down to sort of darken this some for a tad more mood & to emphasise the nice lighting on the floor. Itsa goodun mate.

Good demo of how well the Mk II handles such contrasty lighting. I like the angles and repetitive shapes with the large diagonal taking prominent position for the topic. -tv
