Ouch! That hurts.

Thanks, TV! Yeah, I dropped my 5D into the Delaware River while kayaking last fall, without checking whether submerging in water is recommended for that camera. (Turns out, no.) If I had just done one less stupid thing (zip up the ziploc bag, leave the camera in the boat until it was on land), I think the camera would have been fine, but it was the perfect storm of stupid things.

So I bought a used 20D because it was driving me crazy not having a camera. The image quality is noticeably inferior -- this is probably the first picture I've taken that seems to have similar color and detail. Someday I'm going back to the 5D.

Nice color and dof Joshua. What was it again that you dropped into the East River? Tell the story you told at our NY lunch for some sympathy vote. -tv

Oops! Sorry! I'm not too shy. Thanks for the welcome! I have entered a few times before -- I occasionally take a really nice picture but I'm usually the guy everybody else beats.

I think Joshua is very shy Brent:-)

Welcome to the challenges (though your name is familiar?) Joshua. Great image you have here though I tend to agree some of the lower frame could be cropped just a little to enhance it.

Lovely is what comes to mind.

The color is good but I think I agree with Doug about a slight crop from the bottom. Penny Street

I like the focus of the one flower with all the DOF lots of tulips. Beautiful rich colors.

It's always nice to see new players. Hope you sitck around. I think a simple crop of about an inch or so off the bottom so there is a little less blur in the foreground would serve this otherwise nicely done picture well. -Doug
