Thanks CJ, only thing if I pp it more, the reds are going to come out too strong.
and Doug, well not sure if that is a good thing or not. ;P

I'm not sure why but for some reason all my comments seem inappropriate to post. -Doug

Strange flowers aren't they! Maybe a little more PP to bring out the colors and details would look nice, but this looks good too. CJ

This crop quaifies. A solid 3 points for the lower right corner and edges. Center is no longer a factor since the eye is drawn away from it. 10 points for effort. 4 points for weight of negative space (good gray and tonal variation). A bonus of at least 1000 for the thrust toward the upper left and off the scale - broke the TVCAERS meter. Congrats! -tv

Ok - will leave it here for now...
Another crop and if I find something else, I'll use that instead.
Thanks. sue anne

The new crop helps Sue Anne but just barely. Nevertheless, if David can leave his nine-sided concoction for voting, then you should feel free to leave yours as as well. BTW, if I recall the original accurately, there may be room for a portrait orientation crop that would take it off center a little more. Try leaving the original vertical dimension and just crop off the left side. -tv

Oh no, the rating system. ;)
Well does a crop help or should it go to pending?

(and angioman, I used the back of a pillow for the background.)

Oh Sue Anne I'm in pain - you stabbed the center. Deliberate attempt to stir up this complacent crowd? Too long down on the farm??? I would apply an excellent 6.5 for two edges and a corner plus excellent balancing of negative space in the remaining edges and corners but then there's that center violation deducting 1.999999 for the excruciating agony it induces in your host. -tv

If you flip this upside down it would a lot look less menacing a:-) Nicely done Suey.

A very fine photo. However, my eye seems drawn to the center as well as the right edge.

Hmmmm, I can't quite put my finger on it, but this "exciting" pic seems to convey a meaning much deeper than a pretty flower.;-) Well done Sueanne! BTW, what is the background here? -angioman
