Rod & Tommy - I dont understand a word. But thanks. Thanks Carole & Penny

My words are from art classes in visual perception Rod, Yours are quite clear and perceptive but the varying interpretations are from different ways of seeing. Mine tends to be formalistic and yours is from a more personal experience. Both are equally valid imho. -tv

I agree that some subjects can get involved with the frame but seeing as though the boy is on his way up he seems to be stopped from any further motion for me. This observation isn't from studying the picy it's just what struck me visually on first seeing it & then having to explain it. You can combine what you see into words a lot better Tommy.

I don't think he looks frozen because of the strong diagonals of his body which direct the motion left and upward. To my eye, the joining of the boy's head with the frame involves it in the visual effect so the upper left corner becomes a point directing energy upward and outward. It's ok to involve the frame instead of keeping it only as a container. -tv

Yes nicely done Debi, I would have liked to see some space above the boys bonce so he didn't look so anchored in the one spot. He sort of looks frozen in the frame instead of moving across it.

Fun action shot of the boys Debi. Maybe more about this candid moment than "blue" but very nice shot anyway! :-) CJ

looks like fun! Interesting framing and a great "life" picture. Penny Street

Good spontaneous capture Debi. Nice ambiguity about the moment keeps it interesting to ponder. Well exposed and framed too. -tv
