Since your topic is trees Tom, I didn't pay as much attention to the two ladies, although it would have been great if they had positioned themselves just for you! The tree and the shadow from a different tree look really good and I like your B&W conversion. CJ
Thank you Penny and Troy, and Rod, quite an on-the-mark analysis. Thank you for putting into words something that says what it is that misses. A fraction of a second makes the difference and the percentages are low for success. So, we are frequently left with the intimation of what might have been, which is another esthetic althogether but not a popular one. Thanks again. -tv
I like the two subjects and the multiple shadows are great! There is a kind of layering effect going on here too. Good one! Penny Street

The two girls are working well for the picy but something deep down in me thinks with a bit of luck this could have been a really great picy. I can't really say how it would become a great picy but my initial impression would be that if the shadow was the same hight as the whole girl the two of them would have been really linked together in the picy. The other thing was maybe if the two of them were at the same point behind the tree. Easy enough to say but you would have to stand there for a month of Sundays for that spark to happen a. Maybe if the view down the left side was burnt in a lot darker the picy might pull together a lot better. Anyhow you did really well getting what you did.

Nice Image with the Shadows. B/W treatment is good choice.
