the object itself is about 15x15 cm maybe a little larger then that - all i did was some cropping so the image is of an area of about 3-4x3-4 cm

Could it be the underside of a frying pan or a pot of some sort?? If it is, it would have to be pretty new, since they tend to loose its shinyness(?) after a while... :) (At least the ones that I have...)
