Thanks all for commenting. I had an umbrella 45 degrees on left, and another diffussed light behind the subject to the right. I did not retouch the background at all. jano

Very Nice. I too tried to do something like this a while back but failed. Aiming to try again at some point.Learned a lot from this. Thanks! PS The room must have been pretty dark to get such a black background with 1/2s @ ISO500. Was that the case or did you retouch it ?
