I like the repeating elements feel to this and that you included the second (in back) fountain adds to that for me visually. Good job. Markjay

Ditto that color comment I made in your last entry. Pretty good movie too. -Doug

Nicely seen and shot, Brent. Your choice of shutter speed was perfect.

Very nice shot Brent. It certainly captures the feeling of movement, and the colours really lift the grey. ~ keithinmelbourne

exactly what I was thinking...

Thanks Penny :-) I guess part of the pools could freeze during a prolonged cold spell, but we don't get so many continual days that stay below freezing to potentially freeze the cascades. They might look pretty cool frozen though.

really interesting pattern and colors nicely contrasted with the concrete. (doesn't this freeze in the winter?)

Thanks Carol and Tommy :-) Yes I did capture some nice color here- more than I thought I would see on screen. The different green on the right comes from a reflection off an adjacent wall that is a really nice green. I think there must be some kind of coating on the concrete below the cascades that gives them a different hue than the other water. This is on the grounds of the new downtown federal courthouse , one of my favorite contemporary buildings in the city. This is a nice spot to sit and have lunch too.

On my monitor, the cascades are a deep indigo blue and they seem to have a tangibility of metalic foil not water. Quite striking and I wonder if there is an explanation for the color effect of the cascades since the pools seem quite natural. -tv

This is great Brent! I'm glad you didn't convert this to b&w as the colors add a lot. I like the repetition and the movement of the water. CJ

Thanks much all for your comments, Metropolis does come to mind now that you mention it Kiki :-)

One of the few water sculptures that actually works. (about £2million has been spent on the Diana Memorial in London to correct all the design faults). The eye is made to sweep across the image, but always drawn back to the centre. I like it.

Beautiful pattern! Reminds me of the classic Sci-Fi movie Metropolis.
