I love step-like the movement into the image from the lower left to the arrow pointing to the sky. Nowhere to go but back down to earth. The ploy of "covered uncovered" won't fool the visually sensitive viewer from seeing much more here than the title tries to imply. -tv

Thanks Sharon, The Nordic one, Penny, Carole, Debi, Aamm & YB:-) I like this one better too, sometimes with a harder topic I just shoot the topic & forget about producing masterpieces. Anyhow until then this will have to do:-) Thanks again all:-)

this looks much better than the earlier one. I like the dark foreground, the benches stand out quite nicely anyway - Debi

VERY nice Rod! Very dramatic looking with great lighting, composition and interesting subjects for "opposites". Nice sea, clouds and PP too! :-) CJ

Yes, I like the darkiness here - just the right amount to give this a feel of loneliness, just bordering on foreboding. Penny Street

Hi Rod
The foreground looks dark. But if you crop the bottom section (bellow the left-hand corner of the table base) it looks brilliant, (a diagonal is formed by the left edge of the seat and table, leading the eye into the picture).

This looks like a mix of Dali and Rousseau, and makes the first attempt look plain silly in comparison. Fun to see how you work, following the progress of this scene. *Much* better composition here, with a great depth the other one lacks. Better light. Wee bit dark foreground, yes, but it adds to the drama.

Very dramatic, Rod! Perfect for the topic. The clouds and sea are well exposed but the foreground seems quite dark on my monitor. ~Sharon

You must've caught YB bug. Why did you replace that excellent pic of people (in the same place, I believe) with this one?
