Thanks you ole fuddy duddy:-)

It takes the title to make the salt vs fresh idea clear. But why bother? This is visually effective without the explanatory title. I find the bird vs. the knob to be effective enough for the topic and in fact needs no explanation whatsoever. It is understated but quite poignent actually or maybe I'm just an old nature-loving fuddy-duddy. -tv

Thanks mate:-) Now you're going to tempt me to crop more often:-)

Rod, one of your winners! Forget the topic, I just love this shot, with the rust just dripping off the bird onto the post. Wonderful! - angioman

Thanks Penny, Sharon, Carole, Lydia, Tom & Aamm:-) This is a vertical crop from a landscape picy, the bottom is as per the original & about 1/4" off the top, I feel so unclean:-)

Cropping must be my middle name, also. Good capture, Rod, but I'd crop it. :) !Lydia

I agree that the crop is a good one for the idea being conveyed - it puts the emphasis on "water" and the bonus bird is a terrific addition to the nice tones in the stand! :-) CJ

I like the bird's colour matching with the rusty tap stand.I have been sitting here for the last 10 minutes scrolling the picture up and down to see if it should be cropped - I can see this picture in two extreme forms, either the tap stand is set against a vast background of sea, or a closer crop.
But I think you have it spot on.

Well done, Rod! I like how the "bonus bird's" colors match the fountain's. ~Sharon

Nice tones & very sharp. This would have worked very well in the 'minimal color' challenge.

Cropping is YB's middle name :)

Wot a bugger I had to crop this, I knew the silly bird would fly off if I tried to change to me tele lens but it let me get to about 10' away taking one step at a time.

Ha ha. Good catch!
