Yes, "au naturelle" is the way a Naked Cowboy should be photographed! :-D I thought his guitar was supposed to be red white and blue but there seems to be a gray/blue cast to it, some of the other whites in the picy and the skin tones. Just thought a little color correction would make him stand out more. :-) CJ

Thanks, Carloe. I think he's better seen "au naturale".

This is a hoot Penny! I'd like to see this with a bit more PP - more contrast, lighter face, and a bit more USM to make the cowboy. stand out more from the crowd. Great expressions on everyone's faces - a very fun image! :-D CJ

I was already thinking that I could have done without looking at this excellent picture, then I read Rod's comment and he makes me look even closer. -COAmature

Funny but I'm not worried, Lydia, as everyone here knows the picy comes first.

You might want to rephrase that last line, Penny. :)

BTW, I like the other title better for the challenge. ~Lydia

I kind of wish I hadn't read all that, but it is fun watching the spectators react to what he does. The few times I've seen him he's been in this same spot in the middle of the afternoon. If you're willing to stand next to him, he will pose nicely but he purposely turns away from people like me who are holding a camera across the street (most of the pictures I have of him are of his backside!) This time I made it look like I was leaving and then turned around quickly and got lucky.

A little search turned up this info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naked_Cowboy in case you're interested. ~lydia

Well now... THAT's certainly something one doesn't see everyday! :) Good find, Penny. You've done a good job with this.

Is he wanting donations? Or is he hired by someone?

If I stood out there the words above and below the strings would be all they'd need. *grin* ~Lydia

I've seen this guy on TV a few times. Is he always in the same place or does he get around the city? I like all the expressions on the people. ~dtallakson

The photo is full of life. Good one, Penny.

I love the expressions on their faces, including the cowboy himself. And why is it that he's never around when I go to New York? LOL

Excellent framing Penny and good capture. Usually there are too many folks in the way to get a full such an unobstructed view of what his fans see and react to. Good for the girls to have something to peep at.. present company excluded of course. -tv

The Naked Cowboy - well Penny I am shocked - Debi

He's just another guy out earning a living (at least that's what the traffic cop told me). And no, Rod, I didn't do any cloning. I did almost nothing to this, actually, except a very slight crop and then sharpen. Penny Street

By the look on his face, I think one of those girls has grabbed hold of his plectrum.

He's real Sharon, I've heard about this bloke out in the freezing cold. Look how happy he's made everyone around him. Excellent picy for the topic Penny. Did you have to do any cloning Penny as his guitar doesn't look low enough, mind you if it's that cold there may have been no need.

Well! Is he real or sculpture? This is such a NYC shot with all the people milling around, you did well to capture the looks on the people's faces and the color and general busyness. Good work, Penny!
