Thank you tv - the color was good but sometimes b/w does more. :)

Oh sue anne you make me melt. There's nothing like an effective B&w portrait to distill out the gloss and leave the essential beauty of the subject. Wonderful. -tv

Thank you for comments.
6th grade for Lizy but she is upset about all of school.
New school but before yesterday she was excited to go
(I think time will subside the butterflies and tears, if not, the math teacher is going to hear from me.)

It's tough to watch your children grow up - and it looks as if she is tentatively feeling her way through. However, I might suggest you find out why the math teacher feels a need for a whistle!! Penny Street

LOL I can see that this is not the usual smile this little lady puts forth on a regular basis :) The kids here started last week and so far so good. What grade Sue anne? I took a couple of amber this year before school afraid that junior high will change that little girl.. :( But she is still jumping around like a hot bean so it's been good so far :) jano

Thank you for your comments.
Yes Liz had a good day at school but now at bedtime, she told me she scared to go back to school tomorrow - the math teacher yells and has a whistle. ;0

Not starting school until this late in the year? My kids would LOVE that! :)

She's beautiful, even in her insecurity. ~Lydia

I like the light tension the smile gives. Brushed hair, backpack, look confident; she's good to go. Hope her day went well.

The kids are growing up so fast Sue Anne - middle school already! Nice portrait and I'm liking your b&w picys, portraits seem to lend themselves to it so well. :-) CJ

Gawd it's not easy trying to smile on the first day of going to a new school a. I luv the nervous type of smile & the apparent determination of the crossed arms. Very well done Suey I like the look of this & I hope she had a good first day.
