A Hot Summer Eve

It was a hot day in Seattle that brought with it some smog we don't often get. Only good thing about smog is the color it adds to a sunset.

Thanks for noticing that foreground Rod mate :-) That was a detail I worked hard to include and it's very nice to know my efforts were noticed. If anyone is interested in the lay of the land, this was taken near my flat on top of Queen Anne Hill. Downtown Seattle was over my left shoulder. The houses are on Magnolia Hill and the trees you can see are on Bainbridge Island followed by the mist over Hood Canal and then the Olympic Mountains that eventually give way to Pacific.

The thing that stands out for me apart from the overall great look to the picy is the retaining of details in the foreground houses. Excellent exposure & picy Brent.

Thanks PC and Tony :-) I liked the fact that this was much different from the usual Seattle sunset. I was in a small park shooting with about fifteen or so people around me, and I must have heard the word "red" used about a hundred times. Heck, there is always room for another sunset in the gallery if you want to give it a go Tony.

Yep, so if I've stolen the Pikes idea, you've definitely stolen the sunset idea. I do love how the outline of the mountains seem to be glowing.

Simply breathtaking. I really like the warm hues in the sky. Great capture.
