Ive recycled tons of other calendars (not a Larson)as iv'e found people either Get IT, dont, or it takes a second (or three) then it becomes the center of attention whenever they are in my office. Mr. Larson did one that is "a classic," for me because each time I think about it strengthens my conviction! Im a Computer Consultant, technician, solutions provider (really), and still when I get to the pre-determined, cost for a project, research, or repair, it stuns me that people still think This bill is too high. At times like this I remember Gary Larsons "Einstein discovers that time is money, and get over it. Most clients dont repair their own homes, cars, computers, appliances, etc, (or have a clue either), but for someone (like me) all too often our time is without value, even if it saves them time, and money Where can I get (and or buy) a reprint of his Einstein discovers that time is money, cartoon? This has kept me from going insane on occasion (really)!

I am a semi-retired hospital administrator, and I have been a fan of Larson from the day I saw his first cartoon. I collect cartoons, including his several books, and find pleasure in reading them again and again. I have a science education background, in addition, and I wonder how many hundreds of labs, clinics, and professional offices I have seen with his work pinned or taped to the wall. At 71, and with about 65 years of reading the comics..all of them..every day, I note that only he captured the bizzare humor of the lab..of science in general. Sure, Calvin and Hobbes, Pogo, Prince Valiant, Batman and Superman provided thousands of hours of entertainment, but only Larson nailed the dark humor of those who work with blood, urine, and the universe of microbes and talking farm animals that converse among us. As the little boy might have cried out to Alan Ladd, in the movie "Shane", " Larson, Larson, come back, Larson we need you". Especially in this era of Mad King George II, ( "W").
