Well done indeed. I see at least 3, maybe 4 layers. Good one.

I think it could be argued that this is layered with pictures - one in the front, the one he's working on and the ones hanging on the side and on the cart. (Too bad he didn't hang one on the space behind the pretzels!)

As layering, I don't really think it is the best example except for purposes of debate - it might be argued ( as I should do on my behalf ) that there are multiple layers starting up front with the first drawing, then the artists back, then his new drawing, then the girl, then the other drawings and finally the bored photographer and cart in the bg. However, the layering effect is diminished by the high pov that effectively places the picture plane slicing through most of the layers. So... off to pending? -tv

As per my other comment about your street photography: well done!

How did you think about this in terms of layering: I think the guy doing the sketch and his subject sort-of form a foreground layer and then the person in the back could be deemed part of a background layer... but this is merely my interpretation and I would love to know yours...?

Regards

Excellent "layers" work, Tom! I like the artwork being featured and being created. You're a story teller. ~Lydia
