Vikas, would you share the exif ... especially shutter speed. Why does it not show in your upload?
Thanks

Thanks a lot Michael/Mary Anne/Penny, much appreciated and thank you for the kinds words.

Thanks a lot Barry. Regarding lighting, this was taken in the evening around 5.00 pm where there was light out but this bakery was in a small dingy room with some light seeping through from the top right (as you can see in the photo); the room was lit by a couple of tungsten bulbs on the camera left and of course, the fire light from the oven itself. No other flash/etc light was used, I only played with the light that existed.

Thanks a lot Nico :-) Ain't no master and no special secrets... just using available light :-)

Cheers, Vikas.

... ditto all the compliments, Vikas! :-)

... ditto also the question from Barry about the lighting: would love to know more about "the master's" secrets. :-)

Regards Nico

Ah, master indeed! I've been waiting for some more inspirational images from Vikas. I absolutely love the lighting of this image. I've been trying to reverse engineer the lighting but its got me stumped - very warm ambient light with several 'hot spots' even looks like there's some mixed color temps going on in the back. Is there any chance you could share some of technical aspects of this image? - was it all existing light with long exposure to let those little light sources 'burn in' or are there a few well placed strobes?
Either way this image is spectacular!

Beautiful as always, Vikas. The warm tones here seem almost to glow from within, just like the oven.
