Nicely conceived and lit Nico, a very effective picture and bang on topic.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions for improvements. Always appreciated.

k2 - I tried to reduce the white lines slightly. (Actually creases in the black reflector we used as background.)

Penny - yep, I can see that those look like "big strong, dirty hands" in the pic. In reality though Heinrich is only 11 so in real life those but a child's hands. :-)

Kind regards Nico

I Have to disagree with Lonnit...love the background as a means of focusing in on the vibrant greens...Traveller

Very good picture! But please don't spill dirt on my keyboard.

Very nice, "gardeners" hand included - they do look like they shield the little plant and "speak the same language". The background is fine with me as well.. raises the pic to a more symbolic level, which doesn't harm it, imo. My only nitpick is a diagonal light area/stripe in the blackness below the middle finger to the right in the image. There are some on the left side as well, but they aren't distracting there.
(I imagine this was a quite amusing shooting btw :)

I guess I must proclaim this to be on topic because I can't figure out why it isn't. Maybe what bothers me is that it doesn't look fragile while being held by those big strong, dirty hands. Penny Street

This is very nice, but I wish it weren't a "studio shot". The solid black background saps it of its poetry. ~ Lonnit
