Thanks, guys. As for the natural colors, this had so much more impact. Naturally, it was just "nice". Nice is boring. This way, the colors grab the viewer, and once I've got their attention, they meander around the image, soaking in all the interesting elements. ~ Lonnit

I would love to see this shot in natural colors. It is really well framed and composed and contains so many natural and well captured elements nicely contrasted with the "modern" 1960s World's Fair site. -tv

I didn't think the site of the old World's fair was benign! LOL! I was so excited to realize this angle, that I'd never seen before, when we made a wrong turn last Sunday. We were there at this exact hour of day and I told hubby that I'd be going back at the same hour, later in the week. I did. I discovered a little roadway that went right into the park, and I was able to stop several times to take pix from different viewpoints. When I saw this guy feeding the birds, my heart was going pitter-pat! What a thrill! I was processing it traditionally, but it seemed, HUH!... it seemed, as you said, benign! Playing with it, I gave it this cross-processed lomo effect and I loved it.

ADMISSION: the two birds on the left were up higher, and got cropped out. I relocated them to stay within the frame. I wouldn't have done this if it weren't for meeting challenge specs. I would have just cropped differently to include them. I'd also lost the darker blue at the top and right corner, so I cloned that down as well, simply making all the existing elements fit within the 10:4 ratio. Damn, I do love 10:4!!! ~ Lonnit

his is very nice, Lonnit, Apocalyptic colors in a benign scene....full of life and action and normal things...but not normal at all maybe. Be that as it may, I especially like the way you used the 4x10 format to fill the image with all kinds of things.
