They are each excellent in their own right, Traveller. This one is my personal favorite. I love the colors and how well you caught the orb of the sun. Very dramatic! ~Sharon

Ouch!!!!!! That's lens flare...I didn't see it before, but I think I'll leave it. Lens flare was a problem on many shots and it may be that the 70~200 f4 is particularly susceptible to this problem.

On the other hand, shooting directly into the sun is always problematic at best and not real good for your eyes either....lol

I still think it interesting that I got three such varying shots from the same setting over time.

Thanks for the comment, Michael. People seem to have their favorites among these images and I'm torn of which I like best.

I really like this very dramatic picture Traveller. How did that spot of red in the cloud left of the sun come about, very interesting.
