Nice capture JimH2, makes interesting patterns even though it is a 'random' pile?

You have a double whammy here Jim because there are those who would say that those are trash both when full or when empty... lol!

Good post ~ Regards Melbob

You captured a fraction of the 30.6 billion 192 ounce cases sold yearly. A great statement demonstrated by a beautiful image. Sam Attal

Nice catch - beautiful colors - seems Coke is the most popular around there! Cindy

Have at it, Mary Anne. FYI, this is from a huge bin outside a local fire station. They take in donated cans to help raise money for their burned fire fighters fund. I took this yesterday morning just as the sun came out after a good solid rain. Everone driving by got to see some wierd guy crawl inside with a camera and photograph thousands of empty cans.

btw- its soda, not pop. Jim H2

Jim, I'm not all that good with special effects in PS, but I'll see what I can come up with when I have a chance. I see people writing about HDR frequently, but I have no idea how to do it. I just think that some extra "pop" (which would be a play on words where I grew up, as all carbonated soft drinks were called "pop") would make the photo more eye-catching.

Thanks to both of you for your wonderful comments. Mary Anne- I would love to see what you would do with this. How would you feel about posting you idea in Pending? Jim H2

The lighting works really well with this, Jim. I wonder how it would look more hi def or with some kind of a filter applied. I'm thinking it may benefit from a more graphic appearance.

Excellently done... you managed to make trash look artistic... like an abstract painting done in some weird medium (called aluminium, I guess!) Compliments and regards jnconradie
