You just don't like walking on air, huh? LOL! ~ Lonnit

I must say it's actually grown on me and I do like it more now. Just thought the connection with the title and orientation would fit better. Maybe a crop off the bottom so it's if the shoes are walking on the bottom frame? To help with the illusion.
Just throwing out an idea :)

That's funny b/c it's the red gown that makes the shot for me. I love the texture of it and the slinkiness, and most of all, the way it looks like it's blowing back in the wind. To each his own, as they say! :)

BTW, this one has been added to my DVD show. When it comes up, the whole image fades in. Then we zoom in to the shoes, then pan up the legs. It's got some nice impact like that. It's preceded by my "divin' into dancin' pants" self portrait, and followed by by my emergence from the red wall, which is then followed by my chair shot, which concludes the self portrait section of the show. I'm just putting the finishing touches on it and can't wait to present it in August. It's a 25 minute show, so the file is pretty big. I'm thinking of uploading it to Pro-show's website so I can share it with you guys. I should do that first and get some feedback then tweak it for the presentation night. Now, wouldn't that be a smart idea! ~ Lonnit

Absolutely love the deep Red color in this one. The orientation still seems a bit odd to me, but not if you crop off the top. So you don't see the red gown hanging down, or perhaps if it was a tighter skirt instead?
In any case, it's a thriller of a shot :)

LOL! Thank you. It begged to be turned, so I turned it. I think it's so much more interesting this way. ~ Lonnit

The colours are simply outstanding. And I only know one photographer in the world who would turn the image like this... and get away with it! :-) Compliments and regards jnconradie

It would only make sense for you to be partial to the other. :) In the other image, there was a reflection of the legs (not the rest of me, because I was leaning back flat) which I cloned out. For this image, I thought it added a bit of interest since I appear to be standing straight up but the reflection has a bent body. I took massive pains (literally! LOL!) to get all the reflections acceptable. The camera angle was adjusted many times, as were all the items in the frame. This would have been a fairly simple shoot had I had louvred doors like Barbie! LOL! ~ Lonnit

I like this one, too. Actually, I love the deep reds & the satin dress. Beautiful. However, I think I prefer the other one slightly more because well, it's an ode to an ode :) ... no, really because there is no reflection of you at all in the other image. That had to have been lined up just perfectly to avoid that. Both are excellent though!! -- Jeannie

Ohhhh, those shoes do so shine...and I like the way the dress drapes across your legs. Silk? Best wishes, Traveller
