Statue [edited]

Kent, UK

Rushed out in the rain just to get something to post - wrong light, wrong time of day. I had fun though... and that's what it's all about!

Very good. The boka complements this one.

Thanks for the comments. I agree with you about the white edges, so I redid both shots, spending a little more time on them. They may be a tad too contrasty/saturated, not sure - but I was 'trying' (hey I'm still learning!) for a slightly more dreamy/surreal feel.

Typically (for me) I didn't go out at all during recent good weather, and left it until the last possible minute... the other shot was iso 1600 & still only 1/160 exposure, which gives you a good idea how grey it was!

Regards
Mark

Very evocative, Mark! A lovely shot. I do find the hard white edges on the rose a bit distracting. Nice bokeh, though! ~Sharon

Mark, I do not profess to be a "bokeh" expert by any stretch of the imagination, but in my opinion your rushed session in the rain produced a remarkable and really lovely end-product. Congratulations! ~jnconradie
