I love the background light source supervising the rest of the Bokeh's droplets as a teacher would do to kids in a classroom. Sam Attal.

Terrific Cat! The colors are wonderful and the web and waterdrops add to the overall abstract look to the image. CJ

Thanks Lee, There are not many techniques out there to make an "interesting" bokeh out of what you are going to get, other than setting up your own bokeh. This is something I learnt long back in my career. Sharon's challenge gave me a perfect opputunity to use it. I am really glad that all of them have colors, I was more than happy with this. Generally one gets just one or two discs with colors and rest are just plain white. Rendering something out of focus is easy. What is difficult is keeping the bokeh's interest alive and eyecatching while its out of focus at the same time.

Not sure if this one fits into any of the big discussion going on in the thread about "good" and "bad" bokeh. Hmm... I wonder if this is considered good or bad bokeh by the experts here. Nonetheless I wanted to explore what I haven't used in decades. Worst case it can be a good example of how not to mess up your photo with bad bokeh, LOL

Thank you Sharon, Dorys, Ann!!! Wow! I am glad that you liked this.
Although the subject is pretty mundane here, I figured its a bokeh challenge so any ordinary subject with good bokeh will qualify. I placed more importance on the bokeh than the subject itself. The rainbow effect was caused by the choice of angle of camera to the sun, and the bright orange is from the maples in my backyard. They look gorgeous.
Dorys, sorry I forgot to mention the lens... its 24-70L :) I'll update it rightaway.

Wow, Cat, fantastic first shot for the gallery! Look at the rainbows you got in your bokeh! This makes a wonderful abstract even though we can tell what it is. Good work! ~Sharon
