Scrapped the original shot and re-did it. And in processing the new image I found a big smudge across my sensor! I gotta go clean it.

The flowers themselves are improved, but now I see a black almost-rectangle around the flowers. I think you affected the background too much. I note a similar problem with the background on the right side of the picture. -- Victor
