Love that juxtaposition of the light on the floor and all those poles. Excellent. -Michael

Thanks, Mary Anne. Then I can again just say: well spotted and well captured. You deserve two credits, at least. :-) Regards ~jnconradie

Victor, you're too funny! Was it the posture of the photographer that gave you the strip joint idea? Nico, you're pretty close. This room is one of the art spaces that's been made available in an old factory building that's being rehabbed. As you can tell, it's a rather large complex built sometime in the latter part of the 19th century, and it has wonderful high ceilings, the orginal wooden floors, and long windows lining the walls. I'm taking a one-credit photo workshop sponsored by the local community college, and last week we spent an hour or so wandering through one of the top floors, which is largely unoccupied. This is one of the other students in the class, but the shot was not set up. In fact, she doesn't even know I took this one of her, as I was occupied with something along the left wall and turned around to find her right here. I've got several other shots of this room, but I like this one the best.

Maybe it's the Walmart version of a strip joint. Look at all those poles. -- Victor

Much better, Mary Anne! :-) I am honoured that you took the comment seriously and changed the crop. The photograph really does intrigue me: What a weird building - some type of art gallery? And my second question was whether the scene just happended to have been there for you to click, of whether you had to "set it up"? (This is not meant in any negative sense, it could just be that you had to ask somebody to play "model" for a moment, or it could even be a self-portrait, I have no idea of course.) Did I mention that I like the picture? :-) Regards ~jnconradie

Great space and light. The lady in the shot really ads to the shot.

Thank you for the observation, Nico. That white thingy (actually, scaffolding for an artist who was working on an installation piece) probably was too distracting...it's now gone. Better?

I like it very much, Mary Anne. Excellent composition. (One could perhaps consider getting rid of that little white "thingy" at the top of the left border by cropping sligtly? But this is a subjective comment, I know.) Well done. Regards ~jnconradie

Well that's an interesting use of space to make a composition work. Very nice. Best Wishes, Traveller
