My favorite of your two takes. Very striking. -Michael

I prefer this one of your 2 pictures Traveller. The lighting is better in the eye sockets - those bright reflections off the top of the skull were distracting. Very scary looking and just in time for Halloween! CJ

This is certainly a nightmare, nicely executed

Thanks Alastair, both were shot wide open because they were hand held. The was done with the 35mm f2, shot 1/30sec, f2, the other was with the 17~85, at 85mm and hence the f-stop was 5.6 at 1/5 sec. Pretty slow but it went well.

I think that I like this one better also, in moving around the skull I didn't know that the jaw line moved...and this one, shot with the prime, is a little less sharp than the IS lens, but, like doing portraits, being a tad off is better for the image. Best Wishes, Traveller

Very cool. I like them both, but I think I slightly prefer this one. The reddish glow is more eery. Neither has full EXIF. What were the apertures and shutter speeds?
