I'd be happy to stay this side of the line! LOL! Probably the whole reason the fence is up! ;) ~ Lonnit

I dont know... The lines don't lead me anywhere. I got the feeling of keeping myself THIS side of the line. Only the eyes are allowed over...
Interesting effect.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
Michael, at first the dirty snow in the foreground bothered me, but I am glad you like it.

Lonnit, thank you for your kind words.

I was away on a 2 week trip in Europe, and only on returning did I see what the new challenge topic was. I was quite pleased with this image, and it fell in the right date and topic, so I used it!

Ahhhh, see, now this is the way to do it! THIS WORKS! And works well. :) I knew you were better than the other shot. There were too many good tech elements to the other shot, which was bland. This is a great one! Love the vivid blues and yellows which makes this a complementary colors shot as well. Excellent interest in the dirty snow up front. Details fall off behind the ropes and poles so as to not have them interefere with the importance of the subject - our leading lines. Very nice composition. Applause!

For the record, I didn't know this shot existed until after I'd commented on the other. I was thrilled to find this one because firstly, it's a pleasure to look at, and secondly, b.c. it validated my suspicion that you were better than that shot. :) ~ Lonnit

I like both the line of the safety rope and the snow just above it. Good foreground interest in the texture of the snow. -Michael

Beautiful colours, strong leading line, clever composition... what more can one hope for? (Nice to see a namesake in the Challenge!) ~jnconradie
