Nice abstract piece, Jeannie, with strong lines and shadows. I see what Victor is referring to, interesting that a snail trail would create such a perceived differene in sharpness. -Michael

Victor -- I didn't do any selective sharpening. I believe it is a slug trail on the leaf. I even thought of titling this piece "Snail Trail", but I thought that might be too obscure. Maybe, it would have explained the shot better... ;) Jeannie

FYI, it is a canna leaf.

A large swath, running from center left to lower right corner, that generally corresponds to where the strongest reflections would be, appears to be selectively sharpened. If you want to selectively sharpen this area, you should feather the selection. Or is it just a stain on the banana leaf? -- Victor
