The idea was to make the back of the car smaller photographically, not physically! :-) This is a pretty remarkable shot, I hope everyone was okay. ~Sharon
I've done that, believe it or not. In the late 80s I had a 74 Beetle in Dallas. I worked at Las Colinas (Irving) when an ice storm came through, coating everything with an inch or two of ice. I had the 6am to 6pm shift, and I wasn't able to contact anyone to find out whether I could stay home, so I took the dangerous trek out there. When I arrived, the building was locked, and I couldn't get in. Nor could I contact my manager. So I went home. No sooner had I gone home than my manager called asking me to come in! I couldn't believe it. I argued briefly but then decided to go in a second time. Of course, since I'd already driven the distance, I knew the road, or so I thought. At one point, the road turned right but the car went straight. I wrapped it around a light pole like this -- only not quite so hard. The car was still drivable, although the windshield and passenger window were broken.
As I was spinning, I had an interesting perspective of the oncoming traffic approaching (they were able to stop in time).
