The Kitchen

Mrs. Hamilton was a very good sport this morning and let me put sprinkles all over her face. My daughter enjoyed licking them off at the end.

I knew before I saw the name, that this was yours. :) As wonderful as this is, and it is indeed wonderful, I do think the real amazing shot would be the one of your daughter licking them off!

Hmmmm.... on a side note... Mrs H wears flannel? Oh, the shame - she's such a pretty thing! DO tell me this was only a costume for the picture! We'll have to have Mr Biscuit send over his red satin undies for her. ;) OH dear... Flannel, I'm telling you... FLANNEL!!! Oh, the inhumanity of it! Sigh.......... ~ Lonnit

Nice one Grant. A real stand out.

BTW, "...get it right..." meant reshooting the same model and then personally 'removing' the sprinkles. A true professional wouldn't have delegated the post-shot cleanup to an assistant - John(ebones)

Grant, this is great. Looks like a magazine shot (and FYI, the challenge title is "I" ate this. I think you need to reshoot the image and get it right. Amateur) -John(ebones)

Well Phil,

You are correct about this being a legal entry. I said in the rule that it didn't mandate a food shot. And trust me, they are stuck on. It was a real pain keeping them there. Everytime she smiled or moved her face, a few would fall onto the table...
Canon DSLR Challenge27-Dec-2005 13:32
Ah, but Mr Grant, I fear you haven't stuck to your own challenge theme. "I" Ate This... now, either your daughter took the photo (in which case, her name should be under it) or the "this" refers not to the sprinkesl but to the lovely Mrs Grant. In which case, I fear that's not a matter for discussion here :)

(Actually, I have to say, it actuallky looks like the sprinkles aren't on her face but more like a PS layers effect or something - perhaps because of the very shallow DOF. Odd.)
