These things just scream to be photographed, and you done it very well. * A tad overexposed on the sky as more contrast on the clouds would have balanced with the depth of the field. A little too much sharpening on the tree line. Did you shoot in RAW? if you did, you could make a composit from two different exposures

I think one thing I really like about this shot is the way the diagonal rays in the clouds are somewhat mirrored by similar and almost parallel diagonal "rays" in the field. I suppose those are the tracks from the harvesting equipment or the bales themselves. These two sets of rays seem to divide the shot diagonally into thirds. And the highlight of the sun is balanced by the darkness of the trees on the right with the large bale acting as the fulcrum. Ok, too much analysis. In any case, I like it.

Bob, some of the grass was green.

I like the way that you can really believe the bale is rolling. I also like the dramatic sky but for me there's still something in the green/gold balance of the lower half of the image that jars.

Great, like the colors, the lighting and the compo.

Dramatic light. I like the ray like clouds on the sky

Thanks. I will see if the clouds want to give an encore performance today. Not too far from my house. I was searching for something else goldend and found these in the field. theFly

Great shot, the sky looks lovely now with the golden hues. Vikas.

Oh Lee, that's already 100% better! You're not going to find another sky like that!! ~ Lonnit

Lonnit, I tried, but the sky is just too burned out. I will try to shoot again tomorrow. theFly

Nice shot, but we're leaning more green than gold here. And if my monitor is off at all, it leans towards yellow. ;) This is a very Iso shot, but now you can see why he treats his sky seperately. Bring out the drama in that sky and this is a beauty! BTW, this is one instance where the centered subject really works. :) ~ Lonnit
