This is a green tree python at the Augsburg zoo, Germany. Distance is about 2 feet. Of course, there was a glass pane between us; I think I have mentioned elsewhere that I am a coward ;-) I wonder whether this snake would really be dangerous; pythons are not poisonous and this particular species appears rather tiny.

Appears to be an emerald tree boa. Good light, but I would have liked to have seen enough depth of field for the nose not to have been blurry (and noisy from sharpening.)
