I had no idea there was such pressure on us to upgrade! I'm going to have to speak to Budget and tell him, "buuuuuuuuuuut honeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, like EVVVVery one else has a 20D! Pleeeeeeeaaaaase!". And then I can sell you my 10D. ;) LOL! ~ Lonnit

Well think of it this way, Lonnit... at least you're *somewhat* current with the 10D. There are still a fair amount of 10D users in these challenges. I think I'm the LAST D60 user in our cslr challenges, which makes anonymity even harder for me ;)

I'm going to have to start using strangers' kids! LOL! Are there that few here using that combo? I guess most of the 24-70 users upgraded to 20Ds. I really want to as well. I'll do that as soon as I sell my 28-135mm & 19-35mm. If I can prove to myself that I can actually get around to doing that, then I can be sure I'll be able to sell the 10D. LOL! Well, as long as it's good things that make my images recongnizable, I can't complain, and I ought to be grateful, which I am. :)
Thanks! ~Lonnit

haha so fun! Lonnit you left a couple of clues, the boy with the hint of glasses was the one that gave it away for me, then of course the10D + 24-70mm and the mama title. As the others have mentioned, I too see it. Your images do have a special Lonnit look to them hard to explain but it's there. All good :)

Dang, I thought the "mama" might do that - not that it matters, I could have called it #25 and apparently you all would have still known! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Your title also gave it away. I use the word "mum" or "mummy" and iso being British probably does too. Most Americans use "mom" but you always say "mama".
But photographically, yes it's a Lonnit pic...dunny why, but without clues I would have picked it anyway.

Lonnit, I recongnized the eyeglasses ;-) Excellent shot! Very balanced lighting.

Don't get me wrong - I'm very glad you knew... I just wish *I* knew! :) ~ Lonnit

This is utterly ridiculous - from the very beginning people have been recognizing my style when I can't even figure out what my style is! LOL! Now I shoot something influenced by another artist, yet somehow, it's mysteriously still a Lonnit! As if it weren't bad enough that there was some mild thread of consistancy in my images, now you're telling me it's a STRONG style, and even though it's getting stronger and stronger I'm still clueless as to what it is!!- AND, all this is despite the fact that I've been trying to evolve and have some definite ideas in mind now as to how I want my images to look (and they are various styles, not one particular one) and I think I'm changing and growing but yet, here again, even under the influence of something as distinct as an Iso style, "Lonnit" is screaming through! Yes, a recognizable style is a fantastic thing, and I do want that, I just wish I weren't the only one that didn't know what it is! LOL! Thanks Angela. :)

Now, look at this image, and then look at my 3 women image in the other gallery, and who can tell me... what on earth is similar about the two that make them both "Lonnits"? ~ Lonnit

~ Lonnit

And that, my dear, is a good thing. The fact that you were recognized even though trying to shoot using someone else's style means you definitely have a strong style of your own. :)

No, it wasn't that I recognized the boy... there was something else to it that clued me in... I can't explain it, really, call it a woman's hunch. But I just *knew* this was a *Lonnit*. :)

It could have been any stranger's kid though. Have I used pix of my kids in the challenges sooo often that you guys recognize them by their foreheads and fingers already? I guess I need to diversify! LOL! ~ Lonnit

The glasses. ;)

I don't get it - unless you're recognizing the child, how do you guys know this is mine? !!! LOL! ` Lonnit

Lonnit, you did well to get several key iso elements in your shot. Nice one!

BTW, I too, knew this was yours right off the bat ;)

Iso, Hmmm... yes, I guess your sky would be flat blue. I'll order that next time, along with my requirements for sun position. ;) LOL! No, the harsh lighting indeed would not have been your style. I've got a big problem here - my boys wear glasses, so outdoors I can never use fill flash with them b/c of the reflections. What do I do? It's a bit tough to run around the playground anticipating where the child will be, set up a reflector, and run back to position to grab that spontainious candid! So, what's the trick? Any suggestions?

Yes. I reckon that's a Lonnit. Nice to see an interpretation of my *style*, and I'd agree with the off centre and bright colour sky. I think had I done it the sky would have been just a flat blue, but I like the wispy clouds on your version. The harsh light/shadow striking across him I'm not so sure about. Good stuff.

Gayle, I guess you recognized the child, huh? Ok, you ratted me out. ;)

Aaaah, but it's a Lonnit shot.
Well done!

I *really* like this! That the boy has short hair similar to the Iso Jr's certainly helps, but yes, I really feel it could be an iso shot.
Good stuff.
