I feel that I should work more on the essential myself. My shots are usually overburdened by details and this is a good example where I should move. Halfway, though.

These crack me up. Before I go on, if I was going to give this a title it would be 'L.A.', because of what appears to be smog. I also like the fact that although in all of these I see a hint of something interesting in the sky, you just leave it, I think that there is a lot of power in that. Well, done. Chris

Thanks for the nice comments everybody. I don't think it is very apparent at this size but I really like that the pigeon is facing away from the viewer. It is as if he, too, is enjoying the big sky view.

Wonderful shot. Great use of space. I love minimalist art, and reducing things to their most basic form. This is great because the grey colours really emphasise that. Great stuff!

Putting in my accolades -- I like it, too. This one grabs me. Grant, I too am finding your minimalist style exciting and refreshing. Keep going with it.

You may find a couple of votes. I like it. I have attempted similar in the past and love minimalism.

Ok, so maybe we'll be the only 3 that like it. :) ~ Lonnit

I'm glad you like it iso. I had been waiting 2 months for this picture and I saw it this morning on the way to work. So I parked the car in the middle of the road during rush hour, went to the trunk (boot) and got my camera. After grabbing a few similars, I got back in and went to work. I'm glad I stopped. Regarding the minimalism, I finally feel like I am finding my photographic voice. It is kind of exciting. The other shot isn't a sunset though. It was very foggy last night and those are diffused lights from downtown lighting up the fog. But I agree, I like this one best.

Ah. The minimalist movement eh? Will yes this certainly is minimal. Less is more and all that. Even so, I think this is good for an untitled entry. I get several messages from it despite the simplicity. I prefer this to your sunset image, though I like the way they work as a pair with the hot/cold thing going on. I may be wrong, but I can't see it being popular. I guess I have similar tastes to you.
