Gayle!!! "Habenuff magesta? yes!" - I'm crying so hard my face is cramping and my jaw is locking! And thru this tearful face I was forced to tell Budget of the origins of this story. I can't stop!

Now, there's something I don't get about the green cast. I thought your neck would be in a brace, not a cast, Grant, and I thought that either way, case or brace, they only come in white. Is this some newfangled fashion craze in hospitals these daze? Aslo, why are you MASHING such a delicate piece of equipment? You're not using your foot, are you? If not, why are you putting the camera by your ankle if your nex hurting? Perhaps this is how you ended up with your neck in a green cast to begin with? Sooo, soooo confusing around here! ~ Lonnit

I too prefer this second version. You captured the feeling of the moment and these pastel colors are lovely. -Michael

She's adorable, but I think she'd look better in her natural colour.

Grant. On the one hand your attempt to "age" the photo works, but on the other I think it's taking the edge of a sweet moment.
I'd certainly rather see a "normal" processed version.

Nice face expression, otherwise I have noticed the green cast too

Grant, I consider your excuses very valid! --Olaf.dk

Olaf,

You are right on both counts. Unfortunately, my composition method at the moment consists of spray and pray. I was holding the camera down by my ankle and mashing the shutter release. This was the best one. The green was on purpose. I found some old pictures the other day of me when I was this age (early 70s) and they had this greenish tint to them. I was experimenting to try to make this look like that. I was hoping that this would look like an old polaroid or something. Thanks for commenting.

A very nice photograph for sure, but I have two objections: front-focus (ear and hair is sharp) and too much green in the skin-tones and hair. On the plus-side it really does express the title. --Olaf.dk
