Neil, the aqurium really frowns upon vistors eating thier displays! LOL! ;) Ok, I figured those claws can be pretty nasty, but nobody says anything to the kids about watching out for them when the kids enter the marsh. The kids seemed to all figure it out though.

Grant it thrills me that my photos are ones you like to look at! Thank you. :)

I've got my monitor set to 1024x768. I made actions that preps my images for the stock agency and the dating service I shoot for, that puts them at 500 pixels on the longest side, which is thier requirement. For convenience I use the same size in my gallery. Out of laziness, I use that same image to post to the challenges. I will stop being lazy for a few minuetes and make a new action for the challenges that will set the image to 800 pixels on the long side. How stupid is this, Gayle; I didn't know about F11.

Lonnit,

I don't mind the small size other than your photos are ones I'd like to look at and you seem to lose a lot of detail by making them so small. I agree about making them 800x533. Small enough to view without scrolling and big enough to preserve detail. Also not that hard to sneak in under the 150K limit.

We have lots of fun in summer-time catching yabbies with bits of meat on a string - just like these you have to be careful of the claws. Neil

It should be noted that Lonnitt may have her Monitor resolution set at 800x600, which would make the image look small to anyone with a higher setting...as is the case with all laptops and newer pc boxes.

I happen to posit this because I'm at 800x600 on my 19" Sony CRT...because I like the big type and because I am reading and writing all the time. However, on my 15" laptop 800x600 simply is unacceptable visually, and so on that machine I have a higher setting. It is odd, to me at least, what a difference screen settings can have.

Best Wishes, Traveller

I would like to see 800 pixels on the longest side. I don't mind hitting F11 for full screen or having to scroll, but I do like to see detail.

Thanks Grant. I didn't reallize the size was bugging anyone. This is the size I use for my personal gallery so I always just hit the action for that. What size would you prefer?

Gayle, she was just getting up her nerve. She was pretty comfortable looking when she was picking up the horshoe crabs.

I like the colors Lonnit. Technically well executed too. Why do you make your images so small though before you post them?

She looks a bit apprehensive! We used to do something like this when we were kids, except we caught yabbies (Australian freshwater crayfish) in local creeks and rivers then used them for fishing bait.
