I think that you could just clone out the dust bunnies.

I like this image, although I am a little distracted by the window(?) lurking in the shadow, might have cropped that. The pose with the book seems a bit un-natural, and I would have hid the outlet and cord more behind the lamp, or alternately made that seem more planned, as it is it looks a little like it wasn't meant to be 'just there'.

I do think that it is a neat idea, I would just play with it a little more. The only other thing, that I have to ask, are those dust bunnies on the right-hand side? I would clone those out also.
