Jeannie,
This is a beautiful photo. I can almost feel the texture in those leaves. I think the B&W treatment works very well too. To me it emphasizes the Light in the "Photo-synthesis" process. Nice work. E-

Hello Jeannie,
I know its hard to add color to a original bw. Atlteast I don't know how to do that. I generally, shoot a bw as well as one color and then use channel mixer on the colored one in PS to see I can beat the 20D's original bw.
In this case you have done an excellent job of bringing out the fine textures of the leaf. So you can name it using "texture" as one of the primary ideas. "Texture highlighted", "texture by light", "Playing Hide and Seek".. May be you can come up with better ones than I did. --Cat

Cat - This was taking in B&W. I just added a little contract & sharpening in PS.
I decided to step out of my comfort zone & try some B&W pictures. Had to go & get my 20D manual out to figure out how to do it. ;) After your comment, I brought the picture into PS & tried hue/sat to add a green tone. I didn't like the results as much as the B&W version.

If you have a better suggestion for a title, I would greatly appreciate it!! -- Jeannie (jburly)

Hello Jeannie,
This is a great picture of the texture on leaves. The lighting is very good. Would it look any better in green? I am just asking since your title "Photo-synthesis" actually makes me think green somewhere in the picture. -Cat
