A lovely moody portrait, Gayle. I think this is one tough exposure to acheive and you've nailed it. -Michael

Beautiful, Gayle! I think the blue highlights add it its beauty. Shu

Beautifully done. You have such a wonderful sense of lighting and composition in this shot and many others. (You also have a lovely daughter.)

Well, *both* images are exceptional, in large part due to the model. ;)

Gayle, Glad you got your beam of light. Apparently, one beam is all you need! :)

Excellent portrait! I love how the light stops right at her eyes. It does draw my attention right to her pretty eyes. Well done -- to you & Brydon. -- Jeannie (jburly)

Mikel, you ARE observant! The first version was only up for a very short time before I decided I liked this one better.......very, very similar but slightly different angle of the head.
My girl deserves LOTS of credit for this, she never, ever complains; just does what she's asked. She does get paid.....mobile phone credits every now and then.

Gayle,

Was it my imagination, or did you change this image from a previous version?

Gayle,
This is good portrait. Brydon deserves as much credit as you do for this photo. She has matured a lot. I remember a photo of her wearing a red T-shirt from my challenge, where I thought there was something written on the T-shirt! LOL -Cat

A lovely portrait Gayle, the single controlled light source adds to the mood. Cheers, Vikas.

You did well with your one beam of sunlight! --Olaf.dk

That is nice. I like how she's got the light on her face, yet not in/on her eyes. I'm sure she liked it that way too since she could still see what she was watching :) I'm glad you finally got a sunbeam to use. This is really good and shows what you can do in a hurry once you get the chance. It worked out perfectly.
