Larry, I don't think I saw the original version but I certainly do like the rich texture and color of the background in this version. It's a nice offset to the flowers. -Michael

Larry, I like the warmth of the back wall much better in this version. Nice texture. It really does accent the bright flowers. -- Jeannie (jburly)

I really like the light and the color and texture of the background here. The flowers seem to be a bit overexposed - just a tad. I would try to selectively bring down the tonalities in the flowers, just a wee bit. --Olaf.dk

I agree. This is much better. I love the way the lighted flowers stand out now. That's the touch!

Pretty nice. The flowers stand out nicely against the shadows! -Cat

Yes dramatic is the word for this. Well done.

Jim, that is exactly what I was suggesting. :)

Larry, Yes, this is better. I went a bit further with it for even more drama, but this is a nice improvement, making the background much richer - better for setting off the flowers. :) ~ Lonnit

Thanks for the feedback. Lonnit, I pulled down the curve as you suggested and like the results much better. Larry

What is Lonnit talking about? Must be some inner workings of Photoshop :)

I'm not sure. I like the contrast of the lighted flowers against the darker background. I figure what Lonnit is saying is that she wants the background even darker. More contrast? That might be good. I'd have to see it both ways to decide, but if the brightness on the flowers and their stalks can be preserved just as it is while making the background a bit darker, that might be nice.

Still, this is good already.

Try pulling the curve down - Input 30, Output 9, and see if you like the added drama. :) You could even switch the mode to "Vivid Light" and opacity to 30 for a nice look too. ~ Lonnit
